Fed: Labor denies allegations of taxpayer funded ghost members
CANBERRA, Jan 10 AAP - The federal Labor Party today denied allegations that a taxpayer-funded
slush fund had been set up to pay the dues of ghost members in a Western Australian branch.
The government is investigating the allegations which were made public in November
when the Labor MP involved, Kim Wilkie, told the federal parliament he would repay all
money claimed by his staff for travel allowances.
Renewed interest in the allegations has emerged as WA Premier Richard Court announced
