Vic: Man charged over armed robberies on convenience stores
MELBOURNE, Jan 2 AAP - A man has been charged as the result of an overnight police
operation following a spate of armed robberies on Melbourne convenience stores.
Atif Alashkar, of Nicholson Street, Carlton, appeared at an out-of-sessions hearing
in Melbourne this morning charged with five counts of armed robbery.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates Court on February 4.
