Fed: Study says most contract killings linked to former spouses
A new study shows the typical Australian contract murder case involves a disaffected
spouse paying someone to eliminate a former partner.
But the Australian Institute of Criminology study shows that of 28 intended victims
from 1989 to 2002, just three ended up dead.
It shows that hits associated with organised crime are a very different story, with
15 deaths from 15 contracts.
